Alpine French School introduces remote learning courses by Skype
Alpine French School, based in the French mountain resort of Morzine, has introduced distance learning courses for anyone booked with the company and also for anyone who would like to learn French whilst being isolated due to the current COVID-19 virus situation.
The lessons will be conducted over Skype or on the telephone to suit an individual’s availability and the cost of the courses will be at a reduced rate.
They are also offering free online resources which will be live in the coming days.
Co-owner of Alpine French School, Helen Watts, said: “We really hope that people can start travelling back to our school here in Morzine soon, but right now that’s not possible so we wanted to ensure our current pupils, and also anyone that might want to learn French whilst quarantined at home, can continue to do so. Hopefully, the personal contact will help in this time of isolation too. The courses are already proving to be a great success at this unusual time!”
They are also offering credits or date changes for anyone who had booked on to courses in Morzine but cannot now attend.
Prices start at €250 for 10 lessons of 60 minutes each. 30-minute or 60-minute lessons are available.
Individuals might also qualify for training budgets – information available here: Training-Budgets

About Alpine French School
Alpine French School was originally set up in 2003 as Lost In Translation offering French courses to the local ex-pat community and English courses to the local French community and then to people visiting the area on holiday wishing to study French. The school now welcomes international students to the Alps to learn French in the villages of Morzine and Les Gets. The School offers a wide range of traditional French courses, including private French courses, intensive French courses and GCSE/A-level tuition as well as courses with sporting activities such as skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking and climbing. Classes are taught in small groups of a maximum of 8 students using communicative, interactive methods. The School also runs a popular French Summer Camp with day camp and residential options for 6-18-year-olds to have fun and brush up on their French over the summer holidays.

Udemy Online Learning Courses

One of my favourite online learning companies Udemy offers a wide range of courses on loads of different topics from photography to painting and even reiki. They are open to everyone from all walks of life. The courses are available at very reasonable prices, some are even free! You can even download a certificate at the end. Though the courses are not accredited by any educational or governing body, the ones I have taken are very informative. Over the next 7 hours, there is a flash sale!
Udemy online learning platform was launched in May 2010 and since then has been growing in popularity with over 100,000 courses and 50 million students worldwide (January 2020). The courses are also available in 65 languages.
I am a big believer that knowledge is power and learning keeps the brain ticking over (wink). Those that know me, will tell you I am forever upgrading or learning new skills. This past year I have taken a course on writing children's books, how to create an additional 2K in your business and now almost finished an advance social media marketing course. What will you decide to learn?
I hope you have enjoyed reading and feel inspired to learn something new. I would love to hear what and how you get on. Drop me an email: enquiries@MDHardingTravelPhotography.com
Stay safe & well x
