Following a year out, Ski Scandinavia is back and with a new charter flight from London Gatwick over school holiday weeks in February and April. Who else can't wait to get back?
Ski Scandinavia launches new flight from London Gatwick to Scandinavian Mountains Airport
Norway and Sweden ski specialist, Ski Scandinavia, launches new flight exclusive to its customers over February school holiday week and Easter holidays
Direct from London Gatwick into the new (opened 2019-20 winter) Scandinavian Mountains Airport
The airport services the resorts of Trysil (Norway) and Kläppen (Sweden) both only around 35 minutes vehicle transfer time
First Scandinavian specialist tour operator to introduce fully carbon neutral holidays from 2017
Ski Scandinavia, the specialist Norway and Sweden UK based tour operator, has launched a new flight from London Gatwick Airport direct into Scandinavian Mountains Airport. The airport is within easy reach of Trysil, Norway’s largest ski resort which boasts skiing for all abilities, and Kläppen in Sweden, ideal for relaxed family skiing. Despite ski resorts in Norway and Sweden operating during the 2020-21 winter season, Ski Scandinavia didn’t run any holidays due to Covid-19 travel restrictions in the UK. This is a welcome return for the company and its guests, and demand for places is already high. The flight is designed to ensure families can book their ski holiday in confidence at a time when scheduled flights from the UK to Scandinavian Mountains Airport are not certain with other airlines. As the flight is exclusive to Ski Scandinavia clients, seating is allocated so families are sat together and Ski Scandinavia hosts will be present at the airport, on board the flight and on resort transfers. Managing director of Ski Scandinavia, Ben Nyberg, said: “We’ve already had a very positive response from our regular guests for our new flights and we are currently over two thirds full over the February half-term week already. The feedback we have from our guests is that they love skiing in Norway and Sweden, the standard of accommodation and resort infrastructure is incredibly high and with English widely spoken by staff and ski schools, it’s a huge bonus for families. Our in-resort staff are there to take care of guests too and because the resorts operated last winter without any major issues, we are confident that Scandinavia will deliver the kind of holiday that will make families feel safe and secure in 2022”. Packages - all prices total based on two adults and two children aged 11 and 8. All accommodation is ski-in/ski-out.
